A Smart Intruder Alarm can play a huge part in keeping your home or business safe and secure. Advantages of Smart Intruder Alarms over traditional systems, include the ability to control the system and receive alarm notifications remotely via an Apple IOS or Android App on your smart phone or tablet.
We work mostly with AJAX and Hikvision AX Pro smart alarm systems, both of these manufacturers are fast becoming the industry standard in smart intruder alarm systems.
Both systems are fully scalable and configurable to your exact requirements. You get all the standard sensors that you would expect, magnetic door/window sensors, PIR and cameras, but also things like glass shatter sensors.
Then you get sensors and modules that you wouldn't expect, but that make a great addition and offer extra peace of mind if you are away from your home or business. Smoke/Fire sensors, Carbon Monoxide sensors and water leak sensors with optional remote water shut-off valves (in case there is a leak while you're away), to name but a few.

What is the difference between a traditional security alarm and a smart one?A traditional security alarm is a basic system that typically relies on loud sirens and manual controls to alert occupants or nearby individuals of a potential break-in, often requiring professional monitoring and lacking remote access. In contrast, a smart security alarm connects to the internet and allows users to control and monitor their system remotely through smartphone apps. It offers real-time alerts, automation, and integration with other smart home devices, providing more flexibility and convenience.

Will cables need installing all over my Home/Business?This depends on what system you purchase. If you opt for a Smart Security Alarm then there is very minimal cabling as all the sensors and most of the devices are wireless. If you do choose a system with sensors that are all wired, then we will install in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

Do I need an internet connection for a smart alarm to work?Yes. In order for a Smart Security Alarm to function to the best of it's ability and for all the features to work, the Smart Control Unit must be connected to the internet. This can be achieved by either connecting the alarm to a Home or Business broadband connection or a 4G/5G mobile data sim with a data subscription, or even better connecting it via both methods. This provides redundancy in the event that one of the connections drops out.

Do Smart Security Alarms require any batteries to be changed?Yes. Both the AJAX and HIKVISION systems wirelessly connect to all sensors and devices they work with, and each of these contain a battery. The batteries in every device will last several years, depending on usage and other factors, but we recommend replacing all batteries every 2 years!
